Fireballs
Fire
balls are most commonly meteors entering the Earth's atmosphere - and
of course most burn up before they ever hit the ground. Coming down, though,
they can look magnificant in the sky, and to some, could appear to be
anomalous.

The cases that most stand out for me are where the witness sees what appears to be your common incoming - but then the object comes back at them, or in some cases, shoots back up into the sky. These odd cases appear as though the object is somehow controlled and are worth investigating further.
